I’m going to the Houston Astros game tonight regardless of any tropical storm making landfall this evening 50 miles to the south in Galveston.

Tropical Storm Humberto is on the way. It’s going to bring a lot of rain and some gusts of wind.

The big rain is supposed to begin at 10 PM. The game starts at 7:05 CDT. I live about 15 minutes from the stadium.

Click here to see our National Weather Service map that is colorful at the moment with storm warnings.

  1. I did.

The storm became a level 1 hurricane at the last minute. It hit extreme eastern Galveston County and Beaumont. It also rained a lot on LA.

    It skipped Houston.

It was a great example of why one should always have hurricane supplies if you live in a hurricane area. The storm came out of nowhere and had more force than expected.

Thanks for reading and thanks for the comment.
