My sister asked me to watch the PBS special, Slavery by Another Name. I don’t know about you, but I have really have to psych myself up to watch one of these specials. I find them very, very depressing. The show was fascinating, enlightening and damn depressing. In a nutshell, Whites used various methods from the end of reconstruction to 1940 to re-enslave Blacks. When Wright is Wrong

I was willing to stick up for the Reverend Jeremiah Wright when clips were being played. I believe that it is relatively easy to misconstrue the meaning of a sermon by listening to a couple sentences. Immediately after the controversy, the Wright was conspicuously absent from the public eye. I think this was a good thing. The Reverend Jeremiah Wright has come out of hiding. His first interview was with the great Bill Moyers. Those of you that have read my blog for some time know that I love Moyers.
