Artist: Tom Scott and the LA Express Tune: Rock Island Rocket It was 1974 and I was playing pool with a friend of mine in his basement. He had what was at the time the best stereo that I’d ever heard. He put on this album called Tom Cat. It was my first introduction to jazz. It simply blew my mind.
