If you don’t know Marvin Gaye, you don’t know soul music or rhythm and blues. He was their embodiment in the ’60s into the mid-’70s. If all you have heard by Marvin Gaye is “Sexual Healing,” you have missed a GREAT artist. He was the voice of Black frustration in the early 1970s.
