I’m ashamed to admit that I grew up in Dallas and I know almost nothing about Wylie College. I traveled I-20 between Dallas and Shreveport enough times to be able to tell you about every speed trap but I know squat about Wylie College, which is located in Marshall, Tx off I-20, 21/2 hours east of Dallas on I-20. I even know some graduates of Wylie College but I didn’t know that it was historically Black college. I didn’t know that it was one of the first Black colleges west of the Mississippi. I didn’t know anything of its Methodist tradition
