Tuesday Night News Roundup President Obama has chosen Senator Gregg as his nominee for Secretary of Commerce. It is Black history month. Associate professor Melissa Harris Lacewell has a few comments on whether we still need to keep Black history month. Daschle is out

Is there a rule in Washington that you don’t have to pay taxes? I just don’t understand. If I’m an hour late on taxes, I get a letter from the IRS. On my corporate taxes the IRS always seems to want some form to be filled out. If it isn’t, angry letters follow. So how is it that Tom Daschle, who I believe is a good guy and would have done a great job, and Tim Geithner didn’t pay large sums of money?
