Ed Schultz has been booted to the weekends. Chris Hayes has been promoted to the 8 pm spot. There is something about Ed Schultz that I can only take in small doses. Bank Failures

Four banks (numbers four through seven for the year, if you are counting) were closed on Friday. This is a sad reminder that we have much more work to do to fix our economy. BankEast, Knoxville, Tennessee was closed today by the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, which appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver. To protect the depositors, the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with U.S. Bank National Association, Cincinnati, Ohio, to assume all of the deposits of BankEast.
