The Errington Thompson Show 1-31-09

Those of you who listened to my show on Saturday know that I wasn’t in the studio. I was in my bed in a pool of drool. I had been up for about 36 hours. I could do that when I was young, but not now!! 🙂

I did interview Joan McCarter from the Daily Kos on Friday. We talked about the Obama administration, the Eric Holder nomination and Gitmo. Because Joan has an incredible knowledge base, the conversation is a great summary of what Obama has done and what needs to be done.

I recorded a short rant prior to Joan’s interview. I went to the bank the other day and deposited a check into my account. The bank told me that the money would not be available for seven days. Well, that started me off.

Enjoy!

The Errington Thompson Show 1/6/07

It is 2007 and time for our year in Review.  This was a really fun show to do.  Our new digital studio still has some issues but they are getting better.  The Godfather of Soul – James Brown has died so all of my out going music is dedicated to him and his life.

I review the year with Amanda Terkel a researcher and blogger from the Center for American Progress.

Remember I’m on iTunes and several other podcasting services.

The Errington Thompson Show 12/16/06

Wow, what confusion.  We move into a new studio and we can’t find out butts with both hands and a map.  Because so much was going to on the studio and I can’t focus on anything.  There are several uh’s and um’s.  Sorry.

In spite of these difficulties, the show must go on!!  So, I went on.  My first guest, Spencer Boyer is a Fellow to the Security and Peace Initiative, which is a joint initiative of the Center for American Progress and the Century Foundation. Spencer is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  We discuss the ongoing problems in Iraq, the Iraq Study Group and the Bush administration.  Then after some technical issues, I talk with a good friend and neuro-intensivist William Coplin, MD.  We discuss strokes and AVM’s (check out AVMSurvivors.org) like the one that Senator Johnson was struck with.  Finally, we discuss politics with Bill Scher the guru in charge of the blog Liberal Oasis and author of Wait Don’t Move to Canada.

(This was posted in January.  I back dated it to keep everything in order [1/17/06])
