MTP – Obama – track record

Barack Obama has done okay in the debates. He isn’t a 2 minute guy. He puts together sentences, phrases and paragraphs that are inspiring. Dennis Kucinich seems to understand that he has 5 maybe 6 minutes in a 2 hour debate to capture the American people. He is a sound bite guy.

Anyway, this is more on my series of posts from Obama’s appearance on Meet the Press this past Sunday. One of Rudy Giuliani’s talking points is that none of the democratic candidates have done anything. They haven’t made a budget or made a payroll. Therefore they are unable or unqualified to be president. The Constitution really sets out the criteria for being eligible to become President in Article II, Section I – No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. It doesn’t say anything about being able to add and subtract or make a budget.  Remember that George Bush was supposed to be the CEO president.  He was going to run the country as a business.  The sad thing is that he has run the country just like Enron or Tyco.

I’m extremely disappointed in Tim Russert for repeating a Republican talking point.

TDS – Bush going for the record

Bush is going to break the record for the most number of days on vacation.  I would like to know any job that you can get where you can take off 6 – 8 weeks per year.  Let’s not forget that the president goes to bed early at night.  He works out every day.  I have no idea but I bet you he doesn’t put in a good 4 – 5 hours of work in a normal day.

More record profits for – ExxonMobil

Are you surprised?  Stagnant economy.  Crisis in the Middle East.  Wild Fires in the West.  Blackouts in the West and East.  In spite of all of this and more, ExxonMobil is raking it in by the truckload.  How much?  Over $1000/sec.
