What are your favorite 10 Stevie Wonder Tunes? (Updated)

Since Stevie Wonder had his 65th birthday this week, I think it would be a GREAT exercise to post his 10 best tunes. Now, these are not necessarily his 10 most popular, but your favorite. Let me start this exercise by saying I love Stevie Wonder. He is one of my favorite artists of all time. I have seen him in concert twice. He was fabulous. I can also say that on some ballads I think he can whine. He can be overly rightous at times in some of his protest songs. With that being said, I think he is one of the greatest artists of all time.

I’ll start with one of my all-time favorite Stevie tunes – “Higher Ground.” There are certain tunes that leap off the vinyl, the CD or MP3. This is one of those tunes.

Quincy Jones – I’ll Be Good to You

I simply love this tune. Quincy Jones originally produced this tune for the Brothers Johnson. It was a huge hit for a young group. Then, approximately 10 years later, he decided to produce the tune for Ray Charles and Chaka Khan. This tune transforms into something bigger, more soulful and is one of the few tunes that simply leaps off the vinyl. Embrace it. Love it.
