levert

The group Levert was head by Gerald Levert. He had a soulful voice. His voice filled a song. Levert had several minor hits then Gerald went out on his own. As far as I know he was never able to reproduce the chemistry and success of Casanova. Gerald died one year ago this month at the age of 40 (heart attack). Gerald came from a soulful family. His brothers made up Levert and his father was Eddie Levert of the O’Jays.
