I’m not sure who thought of the idea of taking a character from Shrek and making a movie around him. The guy (or gal) deserves a medal. You would figure if you’re taking a character out of Shrek that the movie would be something akin to Shrek or Shrek Junior. Nope. Baratunde Thurston is one of the ones that founded Jack and Jill politics. He is a comedian by trade. Here he is performing a couple of nights ago at San Francisco’s Punch Line. He covers a lot of topics in a short period of time including growing up and going to public school and then going to private school, President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize and the media’s obsession with Sarah Palin.
