Pentagon directive — conform to Geneva

No secrets here.  The only question is why did it take so long?  As the United States of America, we must be, always on higher ground.  We always must be on a higher moral ground that our enemies.  It served us well in World War II.  It served us well in the Vietnam War.  Hell, even served us well in the Revolutionary war.  When you look back on the whole debate, I am flabbergasted that the administration actually argued against following the Geneva conventions.  I had neocons call me unpatriotic for saying we should stand on the higher moral ground.  Their one and only argument, was a theoretical terrorist who knew where the bomb was planted and wouldn’t talk.  Here’s the problem with that stupid analogy, torture does not equal good information.  This has been proven in the past and it has been proven recently.  The capture of Zubaydah, who we tortured, gave us a ton of meaningless information.
