Louis “Thunder Thumbs” Johnson has died

Louis “Thunder Thumbs” Johnson has died. The exact cause of his death has not been revealed. Louis Johnson was a member of The Brothers Johnson with his brother George. Louis Johnson was one of the greatest bass players – ever. He could play any style and played with all of the greats. He was known for thumping the bass with his thumb. It caused a particular percussion sound that was unmistakable. In my opinion, “Streetwave” was probably the best tune that the Brothers Johnson produced. Enjoy!!
