Monday Morning News Roundup Do you remember when conservatives were pushing the notion that the HPV vaccine would cause promiscuity? Sure, the idea was stupid. A vaccine that is designed to prevent cancer but somehow causes women to be more promiscuous is simply crazy. Well, a study validates the fact that the vaccine is not associated with increased promiscuity. So, yesterday I pointed out that the Houston Texans and the San Francisco 49ers were probably the second and third best teams in the NFL. Yesterday, both teams went out of their way to try to prove me wrong. They both lost.

Our economic problem in two graphs

I would like to explain part of our economic problem with two simple graphs – income and productivity. First, it is clear that most of us have been working hard and yet we aren’t getting ahead. So in spite of working hard our income went down over the last 10 years. I’m sure that there are some folks who will stand up and say that the American worker has gotten soft.
