I’m not sure how to describe a loss to the lowly Detroit Lions. Again, the defense seems to be unable to stop folks. Jon Kitna, who is an okay quarterback, was clearly Pro Bowl material yesterday. He torched the Cowboys for over 300 yards passing and 4 touchdowns. The Cowboys were unable to stop the Lions when it counted, in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
The Dallas Cowboys did everything they could to lose. They turned the ball over on offense, frequently. They turned the ball over on special teams. They allowed huge run backs on special teams. They got down early and couldn’t or didn’t run the ball. Julius Jones was benched for Marion Barber who found that the offensive line, the line the Cowboys paid a ton of money for, can’t run block. There were no holes. Simple defensive stunts confused the o-line and caused Romo to rush throws or get sacked.
So we are in the playoffs losing 3 of our last 4.
The Cowboys have not won a playoff game in over 10 years. It is hard to see that playoff victory coming on Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks.
