In football there is a penalty for piling on. Michael Vick has already pleaded guilty to federal charges. Now, the state of Virginia, is jumping on the pile.

From AP:
Michael Vick and three co-defendants were indicted by a grand jury Tuesday on state charges related to a dogfighting ring operated on Vick’s Virginia property.
Vick, who already pleaded guilty in federal court to a dogfighting conspiracy charge and is awaiting sentencing Dec. 10, was indicted on one count of beating or killing or causing dogs to fight other dogs and one count of engaging in or promoting dogfighting. Each count is a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison. (more…)
In real life, state courts operate independently of federal courts…and football rules do not apply.
Perhaps watching these dogfights and deliberately inflicting unimaginable pain to the loser dogs made Michael feel macho. I’m guessing he doesn’t feel so macho now.
Maybe football rules should apply. 🙂
Thanks for your comments.
I believe the man enjoyed happiness and pleasure preparing, bankrolling, and attending this cruel event. And, I bet he layed wagers , of sorts, with others as well. The essence of this man?…he has no soul.
