Did you see Koepka? He is a head-scratcher? He has “only” won 5 times on the PGA tour but 3 of those wins were majors. I’m sorry. I think when Brooks Koepka is focused, he can win any tournament, any time.

Bryson DeChambeau has proved that he can play the game. Last year, he ran through the FedEx Cup, winning twice. Can he keep it together through 4 rounds at the Masters. I wouldn’t bet against him.

I’m not sure that Phil “the thrill” Mickelson is ready but then again, it is Phil. Who knows?

I must stand up and clap for Ian Poulter. He is a fighter. I don’t think that he can win but I love his fight.

There is a pack of folks at 2 under par. All of these guys have a chance to win. Fowler has to avoid the big number which has been his Achilles heal. Tiger needs to relax and play but I have my eye Molinari. He is play some amazing golf.

The biggest surprise is probably Justin Rose. Rose is the #1 player in the world. He shot a 3 over par. He is out of the tournament. Done.

Finally, I need to tip my cap to Bernhard Langer. He shot 1 under par. He is 5 strokes back. He won is first Masters more than 35 years ago. 35 year ago. His guy is still playing outstanding golf.

(Rory McIlroy is not out of the tournament but he has to go very low tomorrow. Jordan Spieth is still trying to find his swing. If he can make it to the weekend that would be a big deal. I can’t sign off without mentioning Cory Conners. This guy Monday qualified last week and won the Valero Texas Open. This almost never happens. He played well under pressure. He is in that log jam at 2 under par. Go Cory Go. )
