What a good show, if I do say so myse’f. We debut a new opening segment called Things that make you go… These are interesting or odd stories that have little or nothing to do with politics. We then get into politics with our segment called Let’s Rewind. I again explain why I think that the surge will NOT work.
We speak with David Cornwell, sports lawyer who was an NFL lawyer in the mid-80’s. He and Pete Roszell was very instrumental in getting Black Head Coaches. We discuss how we got 2 Black Coached in the SuperBowl and where we need to go next.
I interview Andrew Weaver, Methodist minister and clinical psychologist, about Southern Methodist University (SMU) getting the Bush Library. He and other Methodist ministers have started a petition to oppose getting a Library on a Methodist campus for someone who supported torture.
Remember I’m on iTunes and several other podcasting services.
Interesting you brought up Bosnia. I have a friend whom almost was killed in front of his family becuase he was a muslim and from Bosnia. The ONLY reason he was not shot was because one of the militia recognized him as a professional soccer player. Didn’t the ethnic cleansing go on for about 3 years after the death of the dictator (can’t remember his name) until they caught the one resposible. How can Bush say we can get things under control. Yugoslavi totally fell apart after he was gone. They had to get along while he was in power. The same as with Saddam all of a sudden you remove the law of land and they go back to the tribal ways and fight amongst themselves. My friend said it was the saddest time because the country was being destroyed and his friends were killed just for being alive. He said it was better with a dictator because you knew where you stood. With out him everyone was subject to getting killed. Like you stated it took ALOT of foreign countires to get it under control. I wish they would bring it up more often. That this is a total waste of men and women if we don’t have enough to do it correctly.
