Who? Who’s Jerry Miller? Jerry Miller was a nobody, going nowhere. He was in prison for sexual assault for which he was convicted in 1981. He was pulled out of home at the time of his arrest. He is also the 200 person set free by DNA evidence. This man spent 25 years behind bars. 25 years!!! He had served his time.

[…] Case 2 – Larry Peterson. A Black man who really hadn’t done much with this life. He was undereducated. He was someone who made money to get liquor and drink. He was accused of raping and murdering Jacqueline Harrison in 1987. His conviction was based on hair analysis and scratch analysis. There was one witness who said that Peterson bragged about the killing to him. This witness was a drunk and a drug addict. After 17 years in jail, Peterson was freed because of the Innocence Project and DNA testing. None of the hair and material under Ms. Harrison’s fingernails were a match to Mr. Peterson’s DNA. Now, that Larry Peterson is free he has to prove that he is innocent before the State of New Jersey will pay him for wrongful incarceration.
