44 people are killed every day by drunk drivers. 85 people kill themselves each day.
I’m not sure that your drunk driving stat is correct but your point is a good one. But the difference is 44 isolated traumas instead of one big scene. I would suspect if 44 people died in let’s say a bus crash caused by a drunk driver we were be talking about it just like we are talking about this shooting.
