Charles Colson, of Watergate fame, who is now a Christian activist stated in his radio commentary that Martin Luther King Jr. was a great conservative who would have supported the nomination of Samuel Alito.
This is so wrong. Martin Luther King is turning over in his grave right now. Martin Luther King fought for civil rights for over 15 years before his death. Judge Alito’s record on civil rights is clear. He does not believe that the Constitution supports minority rights or women’s rights.
