I might even go so far as to say that top management must give back 25 percent of their salaries from the last two years, but Republicans would balk. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama put out a plan that everyone should get behind. It is responsible without simply giving away our money.

- Main Street, Not Just Wall Street — Any bailout plan must include a payback strategy for taxpayers who are footing the bill and aid to innocent homeowners who are facing foreclosure.
- Bipartisan Oversight — The staggering amount of taxpayer money involved demands a bipartisan board to ensure accountability and oversight.
