Hastert – We didn't know how vile the IM's were

Now we get the back pedalling.  We didn’t know.  We were out of the loop.  We were crooks.  Oopps.  They didn’t say that. 🙂

Here’s my problem with the “we didn’t know theory”, did they look?  Did they investigate?  They knew that Foley had send some odd e-mails, did they look any further?  Did they call pages into the office?  Did they do anything except trust Congressman Foley to do the right thing?  Did they try and protect the pages?  Did they do the right thing?  We’ll have to wait and see but it seems like the answer may be NO.
