Colbert Report is a great show on Comedy Central. This is thoughtful comedy. If you’re not thinking you will not get it. Period. Colbert plays a talk show host. He is a parody of O’Reilly and Hannity who act like their opinions and their lifes are far more important than whatever story they are covering. So, he plays someone who is more right wing than Bush or Cheney. Yet, the parody shows how crazy many of their arguments truly are.

Colbert sits down with Representative Lynn Westmoreland. Westmoreland proposes to put the 10 Commandments in public buildings.

Colbert asks Westmoreland if he could think of any better place to put the 10 Commandents. Westmoreland was unable to think of any better place. He was unable to think of ….a church!! The grand slam was Colbert asking Rep. Westmoreland, who believes that the 10 Commandments are very important to his life and everyone’s life, to name all ten of the 10 Commandments. He could only name three. (Isn’t 3 out of 10 an F?)
