Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I’m grateful to have a wonderful wife; a wife who is more supportive and loving than I deserve. I love my daughter and my grandkids. My siblings are the best. I have a job where people actually listen to my opinion! My job is the best. I work with a great group of folks at Marshall Surgery, Cabell Hospital, and St. Mary’s Medical Center. Love my friends!!! You all are more than I deserve.

There Are No Words

A couple of days ago, I got a text message about a trauma surgeon in Buffalo, New York. It was a friend of mine asking if I knew or had heard of Doctor Timothy Jorden. My answer was no, why? It appears that Dr. Jorden was somehow mixed up in … causing a murder/suicide. The trauma community is relatively small. I didn’t know Dr. Jorden. My heart goes out to his family and friends. My sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of Ms. Jacqueline Wisniewski, who was reportedly killed by Timothy Jorden.

This whole ordeal is very sad.

Memorial Day

I’m always unsure of what to say on Memorial Day. Happy Memorial Day – just doesn’t seem right. No matter how you greeted people today, I hope you had a safe and thoughtful day. I hope you had time to spend with your family and loved ones. No matter how you spent the day, I hope you spent just a little time remembering our troops. I hope you had a thoughtful Memorial Day.
