NFL: Super Bowl Sunday

Well, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. I’m not gonna bore you with a long, drawn out analysis. There are literally hundreds of places that you can go in order to get long, drawn out analyses. ESPN, NFL network and a host of other websites and television stations have been broadcasting nonstop nonsense for over a week. Let’s cut to the chase – the Seattle Seahawks will figure out a way to beat the New England Patriots and win their second Super Bowl title in two years.

Stuart Scott

There really are only a few people who influence our society. When Stuart Scott joined ESPN, there were a few sportcasters who were trying to make watching sports fun. There was Berman and Olberman and a few others. Stuart Scott just cranked it up another notch. He had an ease when he was in front of the camera. With phrases like “Booyah!” and “cool as the other side of the pillow” he simply made you smile.

Stuart Scott died on Sunday. He will be missed.

Andy Murray wins Wimbledon

Congratulations to Andy Murray. I thought he was done. I didn’t think that he could break through. I was wrong. He is really playing great, smart tennis. He was pulling off Roger Federer-type shots.
