I just want to point out that they were saying it was built by pagans. Yes the pagans that had to be killed, eradicated, destroyed. Those nasty, dirty pagans..... It's a good thing the pagans don't want to reclaim Israel. It might just be all too clear who was really there first.

Although this wall is an exciting discovery, I'm not sure why everyone is so shocked at how it could possibly have been built. Building a wall with 5 ton boulders sort of pales in comparison with the other, famous one - The Wall - in Jerusalem. The Western Wall in Jerusalem is built with stones that range in weight from 2-5 tons for the smallest stones, up to 570 tons! These were all quarried, transported and used to build the Temple Mount without any mechanical equipment and stacked without any kind of cement or binding agent between them. (See the Temple of Jerusalem. OK, so it isn't quite as old as the newly discovered wall, but compared to moving a 570 ton rock, moving a 5-ton rock is sort of small change ....

Humans did not evolve FROM apes...we ARE apes; more specifically, we are ALL (yes, every one of us) African apes. Get over it. Of course, I suppose this might be hard for some (those who,say, consider a 26 ft stone wall to be evidence of a supernatural being) to accept. The ability of ancient people (many,many people!) to move and stack large stones is even more impressive considering the wheelbarrow had not yet been invented. That's right, the wheelbarrow was the earth-shattering technological breakthrough in the time Jesus was living...seriously,the WHEELBARROW(!)...think about it. Of course, maybe the wheelbarrow is evidence of a supernatural being? Anyway, I don't mind being an African ape at all; although, come to think of it, I don't really tolerate really hot weather that well.
