The Democratic response was not quite as fiery as Jim Webb was. Nonetheless, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, did a great job at hitting all of the issues and making it clear that Americans are hurting and Americans need help.
Democratic Response
Tim Kaine is a good choice but why didn't he run for president? Did he think that he couldn't win or was there something in his closet? I do know several of the big time bloggers like him. Thanks for your comment.
Never heard of her. Maybe I should have, but if someone who follows politics as closely as I do hasn't, what is she really bringing to the table in terms of votes? Barack is my choice as prez, but he may need an LBJ type for gravitas (as Kennedy did). Personally, I hope he goes for a Gore type (like Bill did), and in my mind that would be Tim Kaine. You heard it here first.
Linda - Thanks for your comments. I was thinking about running mates just the other day. Bill Richardson is unrealistic. John Edwards, I don't think that he will run as a #2 again. I think that you need a running mate from a big state that Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama wouldn't carry. There hasn't been any prominent Democrat from Texas since the late 70's. Pennsylvania too close to Barack or Hillary's home states. California - unnecessary either democrat should be able to carry Ca on their own. What about Florida? Bill Nelson would be interesting but he has no more experience than Barack or Hillary. Bob Graham would be a very interesting choice. Long time governor and senator. Knowledgeable on intelligence and foreign affairs. Finally, I was thinking about Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The fiery representative from South Florida that has been on the right side of most of the political fights in the House.
She got off to a slow start, but this is a woman I would trust with her finger on the button. The theme of the "New American Majority" can be a winner, I think. At the end, I almost felt like she was tucking us into bed, like a good mommy. But hey, I'll take it! She has a calm, collected demeanor, and I think she would make a good running mate. But Tim Kaine is still my favorite!

[...] Second place goes to Steve And Skiddie. Steve had a very convincing argument for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He discussed how Bill Richardson could solidify the Latino vote. Skiddie had a great discussion about Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. [...]
