Wonderful ! Wes was another one of those (very few) musicians who changed the landscape of modern music; practically EVERY jazz guitarist owes a debt to his superb musicianship. Great players like George Benson, Larry Coryell, Pat Metheny, and Lee Ritenour (noteworthy but not really in the same league) would simply not be recognizable were it not for Wes' influence. And Wes, by all accounts, was a totally CLASS ACT as a human being. Some of today's so-called "artists" (Lady Gaga...what the F@#* ?!!!) are just media events (be forewarned:don't ask her "out to the old ball park" with you!) created by marketing firms to be passed-off as significant performers to a musically ignorant and illiterate public. Errington, you redeemed yourself with this one: you've stared into the abyss of contemporary pop music (which is always in pursuit of the lowest of the lowest of common denominators) and decided, at least for now, to step back. Whew...that was a close one! I was afraid you might jump.
:-) love it. Thanks for your comments.
